Windows · macOS · Linux coming soon · controllers on Android, iOS and any modern browser
How it works
The computer with the MIDI ports is the receiver. Every other device on the same network opens a page and becomes a controller.
The receiver opens in the browser and finds your MIDI ports by itself: USB interfaces, virtual ports, your DAW.
On Omnithru's home page, the session button shows a QR code and a link: open it from a phone or tablet on the same Wi-Fi and pick the controller you need.
In the receiver, give each controller its MIDI port. If the network drops or you reload the page, it finds its port again.
Components
Each controller is a web page. Open as many as you like, even several of the same kind, on different devices.
Routing
The receiver is also a router: connect one of the computer's inputs to an output, for example a USB keyboard to a hardware synth. Routes are saved and come back by themselves when you plug the cable in again.
When you disconnect a route, Omnithru turns off hanging notes and re-centres pitch bend on all 16 channels.
Where it runs
Omnithru works on your local network, even without internet. No accounts, no data leaving your network.
Install it on the computer with the MIDI ports. The server starts with the app and your devices connect over your home or studio Wi-Fi.
Download →A small dedicated device: switch it on and Omnithru is already there. It joins your network or creates its own. With the MIDI BOARD, a stage-ready tablet.
Learn more →Your own session on the internet, shared with a link, to play together from different networks.
Download the app, open the receiver and connect your first controller in a minute.
